What Is Atkins Diet Plan – The basic concept of the “Atkins diet” is Dr. Atkins’ theory that obesity problems are caused by excessive intake of carbohydrates and allergies. 5. I am generous with fat. Normally, I barely drizzle a teaspoon of oil on my salad (if I use it!), but now I fill it up with a tablespoon of olive oil! I used to only eat scrambled eggs, but now I eat 1 whole egg and 1 egg white (although it says I can have 2 whole eggs – I’m trying to do that. lol).

6. I eat more easily. Now that I’m on a diet plan, I’m using fewer ingredients and making better choices than before. Following the Atkins diet has taught me how to handle simple meals. For example, yesterday I ate the salad mentioned in the net carb section above. The salad only has 3 ingredients – chicken, veggies and avocado. I used to feel like I needed fruit or something to “dress” it up. This time I stuck to what Atkins said (like a good girl) and it was delicious and filling.
