To preserve the fresh fruit, I cut the stems and put them in a glass container in the refrigerator (like a jar). They last PERFECT all week long and I cut out enough for different recipes. Fresh herbs have many health benefits, but I love them because they add to any recipe.
If you have CKD but are not on dialysis and follow a low- or very-low-protein diet to protect your kidneys, you can use a plant-based approach. If so, you can easily substitute eggs for tofu, like our vegetarian breakfast or chicken scrambled eggs!
