No Carb Diet For 30 Days – If you follow my blog you are eating a sugar free diet and most of you are very low in sugar. But I guess most of my followers aren’t on the keto diet, so I thought I’d write about the differences that might be needed.
Most of my recipes are very low carb, some low carb and then some and they fit perfectly into the keto lifestyle. Below you will see my 6-week results. If you’re new to low carb or keto and would love to hear your results, please share them in the comments!
No Carb Diet For 30 Days
I have been following a low-carb diet for the past four years. My definition of low carb may differ from yours because there is no one size fits all. Everyone’s body reacts differently to the amount of carbohydrates you eat each day.

It’s generally understood that a low-carb diet is one where you eat less than 150 grams of carbohydrates a day, but some say less than 100 grams is fine. My low-carb diet was mostly carbs from vegetables and fruits, and my range was between 50-70 grams per day.
I was high in protein and low in fat. It was just right as I kept my weight low, but not low enough to tone, tone and see the muscles I wanted to achieve. Last year I was seeing a trainer twice a week to exercise, but I wasn’t happy with how my body was responding. to look.
You may lose weight when you follow a low-carb diet, but you are still using sugar (sugar) from the carbohydrates you eat to fuel your body. This usually means you have to eat every 3-4 hours because you will be hungry and need glucose to function throughout the day.
Just 20 servings a day may seem excessive to some of you on the keto diet, which is about 5% of your daily intake, while some people do less! In fact, I hadn’t wanted to try this for a long time, literally for years I felt like it would be hard for me to be so low in carbs because I love my veggies.

Protein is a lean protein that makes up about 15-25% of your daily food intake. If you do sports and are active like me, 20-25% is ideal. If you live a sedentary lifestyle, you don’t need as much protein as 15-20%.

As soon as he heard that, “Are you kidding, no I will definitely gain weight!” I said. I was wrong and lost. I guess we’ve all been used to hearing that fat makes you fat for years! This is something far from the truth. Let’s not put butter on what the bread is made of. Sugar and Carbs are the main cause of weight gain among other health related problems.
When you start eating very low carbs, your body goes keto. You’re starving for carbs, so you need to find a source of fat. There is some debate about how many carbs per day will get you into ketosis, but the 20-30 range is a good starting point. When you’re in ketosis, your body no longer has the carbohydrates it uses to fuel your body. It will have to use your own body fat as fuel. This is great, because if that’s your goal, you’ll lose body fat and reap the many other benefits you’ll see below.

It can last from a few days to a few weeks or a few months, everyone is different. I thought I’d be in ketosis in a few days since I’ve been low carb for a few years, which wasn’t the case. It took almost a month!
Besides having the benefits mentioned above, if you really want to be sure that you are in ketosis, I recommend getting a glucometer with a blood test. Prick your finger using the ketone strips to measure. Anywhere 0.5 and above means you’re very keto compliant. It’s not cheap, but it’s the most accurate measurement. There are other methods such as using urine ketone strips but they are not as accurate as I have heard. There’s also a gas ketone meter if you hate the idea of blood piercing.
If you are just starting out, you will see that it is not as difficult as you think. Be rich in fat and you will be full without feeling hungry. My recipes are low-carb, although some are not as low as others. If you’re looking at my recipes, sticking to less than 10 carbs per serving will fit your macros for the keto lifestyle!
My video above explains more of what I did in 6 weeks, but you can actually see the results in the pictures below. Maybe it won’t be as dramatic as I expected in 6 weeks and I may need to make some changes if I don’t see results in the next few weeks, but I’m happy with my small changes.

I noticed that the right photo looks different or looks bright but it was only taken at night and the bathroom light is needed when the first photo is in the morning and daylight from the screen.
Crazy, right? I can’t believe myself until I see a picture of my middle section! I was totally surprised that the 2.4 pounds I lost in 6 weeks was only half the body fat. But clearly the keto diet works. I feel good. I look slimmer and leaner, and even though I’m not one of those people who lose crazy weight in a short time, I’m motivated to keep going. I have them for the health reasons I mentioned above and I feel so much better in my size 6 jeans!
Staying in shape has not been easy for me. I have struggled with diabetes and obesity since I was young. You can read my entire journey here and also see pictures of Before, but since I’ve been on a low-carb diet for the past 4 years, I’ve been able to maintain my weight easily. Now I hope to change my body a lot with keto. I can’t lose “weight” but just seeing these results shows that weight is a measure and body fat percentage is very important to me.
It’s worth it, and I hope you’re inspired to do something in your life if you’re in a high place or dissatisfied. You can’t do the same thing over and over and expect different results.

OK guys. I learned something great about myself last year. I NEED to plan a month of food to stay on track. I know it sounds like a lot of work and it… takes time… but it’s worth it to me!
During my 30-day keto diet plan, I try to make sure I rotate my protein so my chicken doesn’t come back. I try to make big recipes on Saturdays because I have time on Sundays and eat less. This gets me ready for the week and it’s a DIFFICULT way to make Sunday less stressful. I also make two recipes occasionally, so we have leftovers for our lunch.
