The seven-day Kickstart Your Metabolism portion of Jillian Michaels’ Body Revolution is more rigorously structured than the rest of the program. Instead of exercising for 30 minutes every day, do 2 workouts per day, adding 1 cardio workout on top of each regularly scheduled workout. This equates to about an hour of exercise over the first 6 days of the week. The diet plan is mostly meat and vegetables with dairy products and small amounts of healthy fats and nuts once a day. This consists of 3 meals and 1 snack per day of about 1200 calories. Up to 400 mg of caffeine per day is allowed (Hallelujah).

Jillian Michaels said she lost 2 pounds and 1 inch in the first week of Body Revolution. I am very happy about it. That’s enough for me since I’ve been on a plateau for a few months (maybe 5 days?). Many people said they lost more in the first week. 5 pounds, 8 pounds, etc. I already eat Paleo and exercise regularly, so I guess Week 1 didn’t shock my body as much as I intended. Besides the low calories, of course. If you deviate from a more standard diet or are less active, you may notice how quickly you lose weight this week. tough
Since I’m already on Paleo, the 7-day Kickstart Diet wasn’t too difficult for me, but I think it can be a little difficult if you go on a more standard diet. No fruit, grains, sugar or alcohol. Some people may experience withdrawal symptoms during detoxification. I know when I originally quit sugar, I had headaches, lethargy, etc.
The first workout seemed much more beginner friendly than Jillian’s other workouts. But don’t take that to mean they’re too easy. They also offer advanced versions of many of the moves, which I followed and got a great workout every time. I think this plan is more accessible to a wider range of fitness levels than his other DVDs.

It takes no time at all to stir up the beach and the kids love it. Not only are they paleo, they are vegan, gluten-free, grain-free, soy-free and dairy-free. Paleo Energy Bar Ingredients 1 cup 12 to 14 natural almonds Organic Mezol Dates, Alter Eco Dark Chocolate Blackout 1/2 cup 85% raw pumpkin seeds How to use Flutter almonds in food processor until powdery. , but not the paste. Empty into mixing bowl. Do the same with the dark chocolate. Process the dates in a food processor until smooth. They gather into balls. Add to nut/chocolate mixture. Add whole pumpkin seeds. Line a 9 x 9 pan with parchment paper or plastic wrap. Mix the ingredients in a bowl. I usually smooth everything out.
