Is Diet Green Tea Citrus Good For You – The types of tea that are mass-produced are especially those made by the company founded by Sir Thomas Lipton. (Hint: the company name is hidden somewhere in the man’s name.) Even on days when I hate any kind of tea, I find them disgusting at worst and sweet at best. I could tell they were terrifying. This fact* is now compounded by my growing desire to take tea.
But there is one product they make that, against all odds, is somehow good: their citrus green tea. I don’t know what it is about it – the tea flavor is buried in a storm of very sweet citrus – but somehow it’s a nice refreshing combination that doesn’t get runny or stale like other attempts.

Well, the lovely people at Benner – Aldi’s brand of tea and related products – have created their own version of tea that isn’t tea. They offer them in 12-packs similar to the name brand, but offered in a variety I’ve never tried before: diet. Who needs all that extra sweetness when you can (presumably) get a lot of flavor without a dangerous sugar rush?
How To Boost Green Tea Benefits
Most consistent readers of this blog (any of you) should know that aside from energy drinks, I rarely find diet products. They usually have a horrible taste. Take for example Diet Coke, which has always been a staple in our family because of my husband’s addiction. I like regular coke because it has that sharp bite and strong carbonation. The diet version takes everything that’s good about the regular version, and hides it behind a wall of disgusting artificial sugar. I don’t understand how anyone could drink it. And it’s not limited to Coca-Cola or soft drinks in general: practically all diets experience the same taste change. In terms of food technology, it cannot replicate the sweet perfection of sugar.
I already mentioned it, but you can get a good idea about the quality of the product before you buy it yourself: hints are in the price. For example, if an off-brand product is 75% cheaper than the “genuine” product, chances are it’s terrible. There are of course exceptions to this rule, but they are only exceptions, and not a general one. In conclusion, the closer a product is to a national brand, the higher the probability that the quality will be very similar. (Also, the private label is made by the same company that makes the real thing.)
However, it can go in the opposite direction by being too close to the price
It is not worth buying it yourself. The roof of this type of crosses. The original is already quite expensive, and Aldi’s version basically knocks a few quarters off. Considering I do all my personal shopping at Aldi, it makes sense to me to carry their brand because that’s where I shop. Honestly, though, if I were to shop elsewhere, I would probably just get the name brand; The savings aren’t worth a special trip to Germany for discounts.
Tips To Make Green Tea: Don’t Like The Taste Of Green Tea? These Tips Will Make It Tastier And Healthier
Ultimately, this is a great product, but it comes at a price… and the price isn’t that far off from a national brand.
Overall: 8/10 This mass-produced product is, against all odds, a fantastic knock-off. The sweetness isn’t too overpowering, and while the citrus overpowers the tea flavor, it’s a refreshing combination. But the most shocking fact is that the diet version does not suffer from too much artificial sugar; It’s closer to the “regular” version than most drinks. One big problem: the price isn’t that far off from the national brand, which is obvious for the price. If you do most of your shopping at Aldi (like me), the Banner version won’t disappoint. However, if I do my shopping at other grocery chains, the savings don’t justify making a special trip to Aldi and I just get the name.
