Everyone wanted to know how long this meal would last us. I took a photo of each shopping trip over a 30-day period to show what the typical food looks like for the month and how long the food lasts. Remember, for four kids and one adult – four on GFCF plus, then Feingold is just my oldest, with little milk. Since we cannot eat gluten and dairy, and have problems with many products that are high in salicylates or oxalates, we make chicken and meat for our meals. For an overview of our typical meals, see a previous post I did recently, Feingold Meal Planning.

We rarely eat out, except for the elderly. So, while our grocery bills are high, very little money is spent on eating out. We go to meals that are made during the school year based on school lunches. When my kids are at home, they don’t go to the restaurant for snacks. They go to the fridge, and usually eat more than four meals a day before breakfast. However, my main passion is food.

Days Of Feingold Dinners (week 1)

We were not serious in the first stage. We can do two level mini meals and my youngest and I can do two full meals.

As you can see below, I go to Whole Foods and Woodman’s about every three weeks, and then often go to my local grocery store (Meijer or Super Target) to get fresh produce. and lemonade as needed. The local health food store about once a week or so, and Trader Joe’s, Sam’s Club, and Costco about once a month or two. I don’t mind Wal-Mart because their products from us are horrible (and they have very little produce) and they don’t carry Hormel deli meats so I have to make a special trip somewhere. have been.

But if you live outside the country, sometimes you only have a Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart carries the same items as supermarkets such as Meijer or Super Target. I can find some of the foods below that I find at Woodman’s and Whole Foods at Meijer, but Woodman’s is cheaper and has more organic foods, so I get most of it. of my food there. Whole Foods has some things that I can only find at Whole Foods, and they have the best selection of produce anywhere that is always fresh. My entire meal takes about 25 minutes, which isn’t bad, but it’s nowhere near a weekly trip, so I record it as I go.

I order grass fed beef from www.grasslandbeef.com. I probably use about $100-$150 worth of meat a month. I use ground beef for chili, spaghetti sauce, tacos, hamburgers, meatloaf, etc. Then we eat roast beef, BBQ beef, steaks, beef, summer sausage, and more.

Acai Bowl Recipe With Maca Powder: Gaia Herbs®

We use organic chicken breasts from Woodman’s. This is expensive – $9.99 per pound We often have leftovers, which we eat the next day for breakfast or lunch. It’s better than eating out and much healthier.

You can lower your grocery bill by eating less food. If you don’t have a GFCF, your grocery bills will be lower. You can order some items online if you don’t have many stores near you. You can make more of your food from scratch. If you do, just let it all go.

But I want to give an idea of where we get our food and give some information. We eat foods that aren’t listed in Feingold’s grocery guide—because the manufacturer doesn’t fill out the forms for Feingold, and it hasn’t been researched. So if you’re new to Feingold, you might want to stick to the buying guide. These are the only foods that we choose to buy and as far as I know, there are no colors, flavors or preservatives.

The ADHD Treatment Conference will be back in Chicago on May 23, 2018! More details are coming soon at www.mothersdetermined.com.
