It’s my last day of winter break before I go back to work, so I thought I’d share another week of free clean eating plans with you! I have received a lot of positive feedback on my 3 clean eating plans recently and I am so glad you enjoyed them.

Healthy Diet Plan

It’s a new year and I know many of you trying to lose weight, eat healthier, and feel better.

I am right beside you! However, I’m personally not a fan of “diets”. I tend to think there are simpler ways to lose weight than morning shake replacement programs or expensive Weight Watchers subscriptions. Hey, if they work for you, great!

My approach is to eat a balanced diet and reduce processed foods in my diet. I combine it with my exercise routine and find it an easy and sustainable way to find a healthy weight for myself.

Today I bring you another clean eating plan, completely free for you to download and print. Scroll to the bottom of this post to find the clean eating plan for weeks 1-3.

Clean Eating For Beginners [ultimate Guide + Printable Meal Plan]

I have a fairly liberal definition of clean eating. My explanation is to try to eat food as close to its natural state as possible. That means cutting back on processed foods and eating more fresh vegetables and fruits, lean meats, and whole grains. I have items in these meal plans that some people don’t consider “clean eating” like whole grain bread.

Many of us are pressed for time, so I’m discounting some store-bought items. I make sure to read the ingredient list and never buy bread with sugar, high fructose corn syrup or artificial flavors. If you want to bake your own bread for this meal plan, great! If you want to add different ingredients, go for it! Here’s a general guide to getting started eating a cleaner, less processed diet.

Clean eating is about avoiding processed, unhealthy foods and finding foods with well-rounded nutrients for optimal health and wellness. It’s about eating natural and “whole” foods like fruits, vegetables, whole grains, beans, legumes, healthy fats, and lean proteins, and avoiding anything that isn’t good for you. Avoid those that are highly processed and contain artificial ingredients. If you can afford it, eating organic is also a good idea. Check out our list of the cleanest eating groceries for reference.

NOTE: If there is an ingredient you don’t like (eg broccoli or cabbage) – feel free to substitute it with your favorite vegetable or omit it from the recipe.

First, my clean eating plan is designed to be simple and family friendly. If you’re new to clean eating or trying to make healthy changes to your diet, this is a great place to start. I take all the guesswork out of it by offering recipes that contain no processed food ingredients and are easy to prepare with minimal steps. My clean eating plan includes 7 dinner recipes that can often feed a family of four (sometimes even leftovers!), as well as make-ahead recipe suggestions for breakfast and lunch. This is what has worked best for me over the years to keep me organized throughout the week while still allowing some wiggle room.

You may have noticed that I share a lot of recipes that I make in the pressure cooker and air fryer. I love these two tools because they make mealtime (and meal prep) effortless. I highly recommend getting one or both of these appliances if you’re looking to take the stress out of everyday dining.

Of course, this meal plan is for reference only and meals can be changed or replaced according to your taste. I like to keep my breakfast and lunch options relatively open, but feel free to add more pre-made items if you want more structure. You’ll also find a lot of inspiration in my recipe archives and past meal plans.
