Eat Well, Live Well contains over 50 diabetes recipes that the whole family will love for everyday meals, snacks, desserts or entertaining friends. It has a variety of dishes from different cuisines and many recipes are inspired by traditional Maori, Pacific and South Asian dishes. These include modern versions of traditional Maori dishes, Pacific classics such as Sapasui (Chop Suey) and a selection of Indian, Sri Lankan and Thai dishes.
Each recipe is endorsed by nutritionist Helen Gibbs and all recipes reduce salt and saturated fat levels and use healthy alternatives to ensure the food tastes great.

Grains slow down the digestion of starch, which slows down blood sugar and insulin spikes. Whole grains are also a good source of vitamins and minerals that reduce the risk of developing type 2 diabetes.
